Jacksonville, AL – On November 10, between 5 pm until 8 pm, a memorable evening is in store when Jacksonville State University (JSU) presents an event that blends the enchantment of jazz with the enchantment of art, delicious food and the warmth of friendship. The event is an important event, since it’s the first event to raise funds for scholarships held through Friends of the Visual Arts (FoVA). The location for this magnificent celebration is the newly-christened Lee and Jetta Manners Art Gallery, previously known as the Hammond Hall Art Gallery. The change is significant because it marks in that it marks Lee Manners’ birthday, someone who has been the cornerstone in JSU’s Art and Design Department at JSU since the 1960s. His passion for art has made a lasting impression on the school as well as the local community.
The evening’s entertainment will include a delicious wine tasting and a captivating performance by the skilled JSU Jazz Ensemble. To enhance the music the event will also include a selection of charcuterie that is carefully prepared from JSU Dining Services, ensuring that attendees don’t just take in jazz and fine art but also enjoy delicious food.
