Jacksonville, AL – The city of Jacksonville will turn to a magical winter landscape thanks to not two but two consecutive celebrations that are sure to begin the season of giving with a grand fashion. Tourists and residents alike are welcome to join in the festivities on November 27, Monday and on the 30th of November on Thursday.

The celebrations will begin on the 27th of November, Monday at 6:00 p.m. located in the center of the city in Public Square with the highly anticipated annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. People attending can look forward to an unforgettable evening with captivating performances from local talents such as those from the Cheaha Winds Community Band, the Kitty Stone Band and Kitty Stone Singers as well as the Jacksonville High School Jazz Band. The most memorable part of the evening is likely to come from the only Santa Claus. The surprise appearance of Santa Claus will add a unique addition to the festive mood, a localized snowstorm brought on by Eagle Party Rentals promises to take guests to the winter wonderland in the middle of Jacksonville.

The entire community is encouraged to gather to celebrate this event that is heartwarming to mark the official start to the holiday season here in Jacksonville.

The celebrations don’t stop with the festivities. On November 30th, at 6:15 p.m., Jacksonville invites people to join the streets in Jacksonville’s annually held Jacksonville Christmas Parade. The parade starts in Pelham Plaza, just across from Johnson’s and continues to the north along Pelham Road, culminating at the Houston Cole Library on the Jacksonville State University campus. This is expected to be a night brimming with the festive spirit including colorful floats, marching bands and possibly the appearance of Santa Claus himself.
