To kick off the holiday season with a festive start the City of Anniston, Alabama, and Mainstreet Anniston invite the community to attend the 2023 tree lighting ceremony on December 1st at 5:15 pm. The event is awe-inspiring and will be held at the near the trees on the corner of 12th along with Noble.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony is a well-loved annual tradition that includes the brief ceremony, which includes Christmas carols, a congregational prayer as well as the lighting ceremony. After the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy free hot cocoa, coffee and cookies, helping to create the feeling of community spirit and warmth.

Visitors and residents alike are encouraged to join around the beautiful decorated tree to celebrate the festive spirit. This celebration is the ideal occasion to begin the season of Christmas in Anniston.

The most memorable part for the holiday season in Anniston is without doubt the downtown Anniston Christmas Parade, which is scheduled on December 5th, 2012 at 6:30 pm. The public is encouraged to take on the theme of this year’s parade, “Christmas Around the World,” as they prepare their floats as well as entries for the parade that will take place along Noble Street.

In order to be included for the parade, participants who are interested should submit the application as quickly as is possible. The parade’s tradition will start with the Anniston City Meeting Center, starting its journey along Noble Street. The grandstand and announcers, situated on the corner of 12th & Noble Street, will be a great spot for viewing spectators. If you are looking for a comfortable viewing spot bleacher seating will be accessible near the junction between 12th & Noble Street.

To add to the festive mood Food trucks will be set up within The 12th & Noble parking lot and will be serving delicious food to parade-goers. After the final parade float is down the street Classic On Noble will open its doors for an exclusive occasion to snap photographs with Santa making unforgettable memories for the families.
