With the holiday season drawing closer The Pilot Club is once again returning two of its long-standing holiday traditions, with the regular Pancake Day and the Tour of Homes.

The Pilot Club in Andalusia organizes the two events every year and usually during the same weekend.

The annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast will take place on the Saturday of December. 2 between 5:45 a.m. till noon in the Kiwanis Community Center. Tickets cost $10 each for all-you-can-eat food per person. Tickets can be purchased from the Andalusia Chamber, CCB Community Bank, or through any Pilot member. Tickets are also sold at the gate on the day of the event.

The Tour of Homes will take place on the Sunday of December. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $15 each and can be purchased from CCB Community Bank or the Andalusia Chamber.

In 2023, the Tour of Homes lineup is as the following:

  • Bill Dillman and June Dillman, 621 Church Street

  • Justin as well as Brittany Morrow, 620 Church Street

  • Terry as well as Kari Crisp 3rd Avenue 3rd Avenue

  • Willie along with Amanda Furr, 1614 Lindsey Bridge Road

  • David Schjott and Heather Hartness 416 South Three Notch Street

Along with visiting the homes ticket holders will also receive snacks at Blue Bird Coffee Company at 200 South Three Notch Street.

Pilot Club Board Member Betty Davis looks forward to continuing the tradition of the club with two events in the coming year.

“My house was highlighted on the Tour of Homes in 2021. I had a wonderful time meeting with people from the neighborhood and loved sharing my home with them so that I decided to sign up for The Pilot Club. I was looking forward to being a part of the rich history of our club and serve the community. We’re really thrilled about the tour this year and encourage the public to come and see. Every homeowner has spent a lot of time in decorating for the holiday season,” Davis said.

These five houses that were featured this year are all characterized by an older, historic feel to the homes.

“All the homes we have are situated in the town this year and for the very first time in long time. They will be decorated beautifully and we’re grateful to all those who took part this year. My friend and fellow Pilot members Nancy Robbins has been a tremendous help to prepare and plan this year’s trip. .”

It is expected that the Pilot Club will give proceeds from these two events towards the local community through a variety of ways.

“Our Pilot president Meredith Harlos is doing a fantastic job at achieving our club’s objectives and activities. We are always looking at helping other members of the community, and giving back in any way that we can to contribute back,” Davis said.
