Jacksonville, AL – An Evening of Music and Generosity To Illuminate the Ernest Stone’s Ward Theatre

Be ready for a music spectacle in the coming days as Jacksonville State University (JSU) hosts the “ROC On” Benefit Concert with some of the biggest performers in country music. The concert will take place on December 14th, at seven p.m. within the cozy venue at the Ernest Stone Centre’s Ward Theatre.

The concert hopes to create JSU scholarships and also contribute in the Randy Owen Center for the Performing Arts (ROC), giving the audience an unforgettable evening with exceptional talent and a cause.

The stellar lineup features the following four ex- JSU students who went on to become Nashville rock stars: Randy Owen, Jamey Johnson, Riley Green, and Gordon Mote. The talented musicians will take to the stage and create an unforgettable night of music from the country and entertainment.

The president, Don C. Killingsworth, Jr. expressed his gratitude to JSU’s alumni saying, “We are proud to be part of a thriving group of country musicians among JSU’s alumni. The beginning was Randy Owen, who has had a profound influence on generations of musicians from all over the globe since his band, Alabama, redefined country music in the 80s. The ROC will provide us with the chance to pay tribute to him while assisting in the training and education for the future generation of musicians.”

Tickets to general admission are still available at 500 dollars per person, and all proceeds go to scholarships for students. ROC or student awards. Tickets are available through JSU’s ROC on website as long as supplies last.
