Weaver, AL –As the Christmas season is settling into the city, Weaver is preparing for the much-anticipated Christmas Parade that is a beloved tradition that delights people who live there and those who visit. Keep your eyes peeled for December 3rd, Sunday at 2:00pm, in the event that it is the day that Weaver Christmas Parade is set to fill the town with holiday spirit.
The fun begins at 1:00 pm, when the procession begins on the Weaver Elementary Parking Lot of the school. The spectators can look forward to a variety of floats, marching groups and obviously, Santa Claus himself, who will make an appearance that will delight children and the children at heart.
The festivities don’t stop by the time you see a parade. After the parade and the festivities, The Weaver Band and Choir will delight the crowd with a warm Christmas performance held at Elwell Park. The concert promises an enjoyable tour through Christmas classics and seasonal favourites, bringing the perfect environment for family and friends to gather and enjoy the magic of Christmas.
As a sign of resilience for the entire community, the organizers have set a new date in the event of bad weather. If rain delays the original plan the make-up day to parade as well as the concert is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 10 at 2:00pm.
The Weaver’s Christmas Parade and the subsequent musical entertainments have become a mainstay of the town’s Christmas celebrations and has helped to foster a sense of solidarity and friendship among the residents.
