Juneau residents affected by the August’s glacial eruption flooding are now able to apply for relief funding via Juneau Community Foundation. Juneau Community Foundation.


The foundation collects funds for different needs in Juneau. In a news release issued on Tuesday the foundation announced that residents had contributed the sum of $28,300 for the foundation’s Mendenhall River flood response fund.


The funds are for “anyone who suffered a significant loss because of the flood,” the release said.


Applications are available at juneaucf.org. The deadline is 5 p.m. on December. 31.


The release stated that the amount of money applicants are eligible for will depend on the amount of people who apply.
