This concert is the continuation of the orchestra’s remarkable 75+ year history that promises to delight audiences with their blend of orchestral songs that are popular.

The Atlanta Pops Orchestra, renowned for its ability to enrich communities across the Southeast, has become known for live shows that go beyond the boundaries of music. Working with guest musicians from a variety of genres of popular music The orchestra offers an engaging and dynamic audience with a variety of preferences. They offer a mixture of orchestral sections from classical music–strings brass, woodwinds and percussion. They also include the exuberant enthusiasm of a jazz/pop section that includes bass, piano and drums.

The orchestra’s leader is highly regarded Music Director and Conductor Dr. Jason Altieri. The Dr. Altieri, also serving as the Associate Conductor of the Reno, NV Philharmonic and Director of the Orchestra Program at The University of Nevada, Reno is a source of knowledge and passion on stage. Alongside him are the gifted Assistant Conductor Michael Giel and the Artist-in-Residence Julio Barreto, adding their distinctive style to the music journey.
