Montgomery, AL Governor Kay Ivey issued an executive order instructing the flags of Alabama to be raised to half-staff to honor her late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. Justice O’Connor passed away on December 1, 2023 at the age of 92.
The flags will be lowered at half-staff until sunset the day of the interment of Justice O’Connor which is scheduled on Tuesday, December 19 2023. At that time they will be raised again to full staff.
