Guy “E. J.” Dean Jr.

Mr. Guy E. Dean, Jr. is popularly known as “E. J.”, 64 from Andalusia died on Friday, December. 22nd, 2023 in the Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp.

Funeral services took place on Wednesday Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Greenville (212 Fort Dale Rd, Greenville, AL 36037) with Brother Justin Sasser officiating and Foreman Funeral Home conducting. The burial took place with a burial at St. Paul Methodist Cemetery. The visitation began on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 6 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home and at the church 30 minutes before service time.

The couple is survived by their wife Barbara Dean; two daughters, Crystal Lynne Dean and Christy (Justin) Sasser; son, Shane (Jessica) Turner All from Andalusia and his dad, Earnest (Gloria) Dean of Greenville; two grandchildren, Kennedy Della Bullard and Cooper Reed Sasser; a very special friend for life, Murray Fail of Greenville and one sister, Stan Dean of Brundidge and a the sister Jody (Gale) Slagley from Greenville Spiritual grandchildren, Hayden Blair, Garrett Boley, Bentley Boley and Bailey Boley as well as numerous nieces, nephews as well as extended relatives. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Ann F. Dean.

Pallbearers included Shane Turner, Cooper Sasser, Garrett Boley, Murray Fail, Don Whitehurst, Ron Whitehurst, Louie Boley as well as Terry Craig.
