Anniston, AL – As the year is beginning and the new year begins, Anniston, AL’s AlaBenton Genealogical Society is gearing to help people starting a journey into their family’s history. Its “Beginning Genalogy” workshop will be held on the 6th of January, 2024 beginning at 1 p.m. at Anniston’s Ayers Room of the Anniston Public Library.

The goal of the workshop is to give beginners the essential tools and advice to begin the exploration of their family’s roots. Participants are advised to arrive early for registration the workshop, which begins at 12:40 after. The event is open to all members of the public and anyone who are interested in exploring their family’s history are welcome to attend this workshop for free.

The AlaBenton Genealogical Society is committed to helping people gain an appreciation and understanding of the family’s heritage. The seminar will offer the opportunity to receive free help for beginners in genealogy and will give attendees the chance to get advice and guidance from expert genealogists.

In addition to the session in addition to the workshop, the Alabama room of Anniston Library is also being highlighted. Anniston Public Library will be showcased, with a selection of the resources that are specific to Alabama genealogy.
