Oleander 2 Civic and Social Club organizes the 3rd Annual HBCU as well as Career Fair on Saturday, January. 20th, between 8:15 a.m. until 22:30 p.m. in the school’s campus. Andalusia High School.


The group is inviting everyone from Covington County and the surrounding areas to visit the college and careers fair in order to get information more about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as well as careers in that co-collaborator organization USDA Forest Service, careers in various military branches and opportunities with local businesses, and workshops regarding financial aid. You will also learn how to look for scholarships, guidelines for scholarship applications and college applications and academic resumes and talks with students currently enrolled in Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and numerous HBCUs.

Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. inside the auditorium of the high school. The fair is not only for students but also anyone looking for ways to improve their education or discover careers. Food, prizes for the door and grand prizes including prizes of an HP Laptop 32″ Roku Smart TV, and Samsung Tablet for individuals attending the event.
