The Andalusia man is in custody for kidnapping and domestic violence charges following the discovery of the woman who went missing was discovered locked in a bedroom in his home.
On Thursday this week, on Thursday, the Andalusia Police Department was notified of an information about an individual who was believed to be missing since the 2nd of July. Police immediately launched an investigation that ran until close to midnight, when the girl was located. The investigation led police to a home located on Oak Street, where they met with the woman who let officers to enter. While they were talking with the woman, an individual named Jimmy Bernerd Jackson Jr. 43, entered an area in the home and immediately locked the door behind him.
The officers detained him and entered that area of the house. They found the woman missing in the bathroom. She was injured on her arm as well as one leg. Investigators claimed Bernerd as well as the plaintiff had been involved in a relationship that was on and off. Jackson was accused of first degree kidnapping in addition to second degree domestic violence assault. Jackson is currently being secured on a bond of $250,000.
