All In Credit Union will give local charities a reason for thanks this holiday season. It will award $225,633.00 as part of its annual holiday tradition.

All In donated over $100,000 to charities for the fifth year in a row. Credit Union also made a promise to donate twice as much to charitable organizations that have a positive impact on their communities.

All In Credit Union’s Region 4 service region is home to four of the 16 charities that were selected to receive All In grant money. These organizations are:

  • A Bed 4 Me provides beds for children in need.
  • Andalusia Community Christmas will provide toys and clothing for children.
  • Bethesda House will provide legal, medical and dental assistance.
  • Dad’s Compassionate Ministries will provide dinner to help fund their food pantry.

“When we decided to establish a grant program, one our goals was to fund organizations whose dreams exceed their existing capital. After a thorough application process and interviews, 16 organizations were chosen to receive grants. Bobby Michael, President/CEO of All In Credit Union said that they had a compelling case for being selected.

Charlie Mingus is the chairman of All In Board. He explained that five years ago our Board of Directors committed to donate $100,000 to our Helping Hands Foundation in order to improve the lives of others. We look forward to seeing the impact these grants have on our communities.

The $200,000 allotted by All In Credit Union’s Board of Director will be supplemented by $25,633 from the Helping Hands Foundation. Many of these funds can be accessed through fees collected by the Credit Union as part of its annual Skip-A-Payment Loan program.

Our organization is built on a culture that values giving. Our employees give back to the community in many ways, whether they are volunteering for local events or making sure that local residents and children receive Christmas gifts on Christmas day.

One of the most unique aspects of the grant process involves the Executive Leadership Training Class for the current year to review all applications and make recommendations to Foundation Board of Directors, who then make final selections.

Each year we choose a group to take our Executive Leadership Training Class. Their development includes learning more about the people and communities they serve. Hales said that employees receive valuable training in reviewing applications and managing grant selections. This prepares them to be leaders in the future.”

All In Credit Union started giving out annual grants in 2018 when it donated $100,000 to The Ark Dothan for the construction of transitional housing. The Ark and All In Credit Union have been partnering since the initial donation. All In employees continue to volunteer on a regular basis. All In Credit Union has given grants to 43 organizations in our network over the past five years. This amount is nearly $800,000.

In July, the Credit Union will announce the All In Credit Union grant for 2023. This is part of its ongoing commitment to giving back to the community through the Helping Hands Foundation. It was established in 2016.
