the City of Andalusia Mayor Earl Johnson signed two proclamations declaring November to be Hospice and Home Care Month. Hospice month at City Hall on Wednesday, November. 8 and on Thursday, November. 9 along with representatives of LHC Home Care of South Alabama and Aveanna Hospice.
Home care providers provide top-quality and compassionate health healthcare services to over 5 million Americans each year, particularly in situations of personal or community health crisis.
“We offer many services to include physical therapy, nursing occupational therapy, speech therapy. It’s a privilege and honor privilege to provide care for the people who live in our communities,” LHC Registered Nurse and Clinical Director Anna Ware said.
According to the declaration that was issued, 90% of Americans are keen to age in a comfortable and safe environment. Home care is the most popular method of healthcare delivery for the elderly, disabled and those who are chronically ill looking to live at home in the longest time they are able to. The home care options allow families to remain together, and also provide more dignity, health, and security in our community.
