Annie Mae Ainsworth (75), of Greenville, was formerly of Covington Country. She died at her home on December 15, 2022.

Funeral services were held at the First Pentecostal Church of Andalusia on Tuesday, December 20, at 2 p.m. Friends were welcome to visit the family Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Bro. The services will be officiated by Chester Watson. The services will be followed by burial at Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery, with Keahey Funeral Home as the director.

Left to cherish her memory are, sons, Alvie C. Ainsworth and Josh Ainsworth; daughters, Melinda Ainsworth, Bernice Haskew, and Wanda J. Worrells (Wayne); brothers, Jessie Barbarow and Richard Barbarow (Carolyn); 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Her parents, Albert J. Barbarow, and Daisy Capers Barbarow, preceded her in death. She was also survived by her sisters, Estelle Blair and Betty Couey.

Mrs. Annie Mae was known to all as “Mickey” and worked hard in her youth. She worked in the pulpwood business alongside her husband. She never stopped working, even as she grew older. She became a highly sought-after “cleaning lady” in Andalusia, when most people would have stopped working. She was a family-oriented person who took over a home to clean. She was gifted with a “green thumb” and could grow any type of flower. She was also a skilled southern cook who loved her family, her siblings, children and grandchildren with all of her heart. “Mickey,” a beautiful soul, will be missed. She could “boss Jesus” around in Heaven because she loved to “boss people around!”
