The Andalusia Police Department is investigating an accident that involved a car and a cyclist, which occurred on Thursday night.
The Police Chief Paul Hudson said officers responded to the incident which took place near the Floor Store on the MLK Expressway around nine p.m. On Thursday.
The man identified as a white male, who did not have identification, was taken into Andalusia Health, and later transferred to an area hospital due to the severity of the injuries. The police have since discovered the identity of the man.
The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries. The driver’s name has been kept secret since this driver is a minor.
