A suspect in an attempted home invasion was arrested at Andalusia Health on Friday night. He went to Andalusia Health to receive treatment for a gunshot injury sustained during the robbery.

Diandre Nicholas Sheridan (18) was taken into custody by the Andalusia Police Department. He was charged with first-degree Robbery.
Police say that the APD received two calls Friday night which led to the arrest. Capt. Brett Holmes stated that Andalusia Health received a report from a patient who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound just after 8 p.m. A second call was received by the police that night regarding an attempted robbery at 9th Street.
A victim claimed that he was in his car at home when he was approached and threatened by a man wearing a mask with a gun. According to police, the victim claimed that the man tried to rob him. He then took out his firearm and began firing multiple shots at the attempted robber. Sheridan was identified by the victim and other witnesses.
Sheridan was arrested for first-degree robbery. She is currently being held at the Covington County Jail with a $150,000 bond. Officials from law enforcement said that the investigation is still ongoing.
Officials expressed their gratitude to the Covington Sheriff’s office for responding to calls while APD investigated the shooting.
