Many people be aware, my father grew in England and moved into America. United States when he was 18. Prior to my four weeks at Cambridge my father and me visited relatives that I had not seen for more than 10 years. The idea of studying abroad has always intrigued me which is why this award let me to go to an area that is dear to me. many things to me.
I decided to stay at Selwyn College throughout my time at the University. I was apprehensive about meeting new people while I was in Selwyn College. But, I soon met others students who were also students. Selwyn College has given me many lifelong friendships with people from all over the world.
I attended seven classes while at Cambridge. One of my favorite included The Essentials of Astronomy and Space Management and Colonization. I learned lots regarding space, which I didn’t have prior to. Did you be aware it is always expanding? I also thoroughly enjoyed the course. Egyptology course. Through the course, we studied and discussed photos from Egyptian artifacts. The day that ended the course, we made an excursion for a visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge’s city center. The museum is home to a variety of exhibits that span from Egyptian times through the 20th century England.
My weekends were filled with many adventures! The first weekend I was in Cambridge I went to London and took a ride on the London Eye with my new acquaintances. I visited my family and Stonehenge during two weekends of my visit. In the last weekend of my trip I went on an excursion sponsored by the university to Stratford-upon-Avon the birthplace of William Shakespeare. After exploring the city, we sat down to watch the play “As as You’d Like it.”
I am extremely grateful for this chance and will carry the memories and experiences with me throughout the rest of my life.
