Smash Mouth Foods owner Jared Hawsey has merged two of the biggest summer frozen treats to launch the first of The Ice/Cream Parlor of Andalusia.
The first time he opened his doors to the public on June 21.
“I realized there was there was a need in the city for a comfortable Ice cream shop. My children are small and we enjoy going out to eat ice cream however, you’re limited in terms of where you can go and what you are able to find. Making a commitment to the place you live is among the most rewarding actions you can take in business. This is my family as well as this my home town,” Hawsey said.
In addition to soft-serve Ice desserts like snow cones or cream, there are milkshakes smoothies, smoothies, hot coffee, iced lattes, coffee, and baked goods that will be available in the future.
“It truly warms your heart particularly when you see families or old acquaintances getting together and enjoying a tasty frozen dessert. I love the way it brings people together and is an integral part of the memories. We’ll have vanilla, chocolate and swirl ice cream, with many toppings. We will also have dip cones that have chocolate and a changing flavor. It could be a birthday cake, it could be blueberry or strawberry, but it’s likely to vary frequently.”
Ice cream is served in three different forms such as cone, milkshake and cup. The toppings include strawberry syrup, caramel syrup, chocolate syrup Snickers crumbles, crumbles of Twix, Oreo crumble and Reese’s Crumble, sprinkles, and Oreo. There are a variety of SnoBiz flavor options are offered.
“Having an ice cream or snow cone is the perfect method to cool down and have a good time with family and friends. I can remember taking a trip towards Dairy Queen with my grandfather and seeing what the place was like, and the place we where we sat. I enjoy getting to know new people and playing playing the game in business. I am a fan of establishing processes and systems. I am always trying to figure out ways to improve and the difficulties that arise,” he said.
One of his goals for the future is to grow his business by adding more areas.
“I wish to give others the chance to create your own store using the expertise I’ve acquired. It’s a great feeling to are supported by others and they are determined to help that you succeed. I’d like to leave an legacy that can be passed on to my children. I’d like to encourage anyone who might be considering setting up a business, but are stuck by the idea of the responsibilities. The graveyard is filled with ideas and companies that never got a chance to see the light of day so take advantage of your time as it is. Make something fun and exciting and help your community. Leave something to your family.”
