The Andalusia Star-News would like warmly welcome Jakelyn Carter to its team as an expert in multimedia marketing.

Carter is from Andalusia and is a 2011 alumna from Andalusia High School. She received her bachelor’s degree at Troy University in Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations. She will graduate in the year 2020.
“I am excited to embark on this exciting journey and extremely excited about putting my diploma in communication to work. I’m looking forward to helping my local business expand by offering marketing strategies and solutions for advertising. My objectives while being employed by the Andalusia Star-News are to expand my understanding and abilities in marketing , and broadening my experience in the field of marketing as well as journalism.” Carter said.
Carter’s debut day at the Star-News began on Monday, 20 March. Carter has two infant boys, eight-year-old Major and 2 year-old Mazi. Major is a student in second grade at Straughn Elementary School.
