Claudia Ezzell Mozingo, 74 died on December. 5 2023, in the company of her family and friends.

The Mrs. Mozingo was born in Dothan and graduated from Andalusia High School in the year 1968. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Judson College and a Master’s from The University of Alabama and taught Special Education in Virginia for a period of 20 years prior to her retirement in 1997.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Allene Capps Ezzell; her grandparents, Bertha Duggan Capps and Dewey Capps; and her father, Marlin Wood Ezzell.

Since 1999 since 1999, Ms. Mozingo resides since 1999 in Mill Creek, Washington. The Mozingo family is survived by their husband for 47 years Jack Mozingo, and their two sons, Taylor Lindsey Mozingo and Griffin Wood Mozingo.

Her dedication to women’s rights and equal rights will be cherished by all who were close to her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to the Women’s Foundation of Alabama (wfalabama.org) or the LGBTQ Fund, an endowment of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham (https://www.cfbha.org/lgbtqfund/).

A private memorial service to be conducted at a later date. Keahey Funeral Home is charged in the arrangement.
