The Covington County Sheriff’s Office is looking into an incident of shooting which left one person hurt the afternoon of Thursday.
As per The Sheriff Blake Turman, one person was injured during the shooting, and was removed from the scene in an ambulance.
Law enforcement officers responded on Prestwood Bridge Road, near Rabren Road, where the shooting took place. Turman confirmed that those involved in the incident have been identified and interrogated. The investigation is still ongoing however, a suspected suspect has been identified. The case is still under investigation according to Turman.
“The community is secure and there is no risk due to this event. The deputies were vigilant and caught the suspect within an hour after this incident.” Sheriff John McCormick said.
Turman acknowledged Turman for the Andalusia Police Department their assistance. He explained that APD camera systems were utilized to assist in identifying a car that was involved.
