The Covington Region Honor Flight is again transporting Veterans to Washington D.C. on Saturday April 29 and the organization needs assistance and pride from the people of the country.

The flight this year will include veterans who bravely were during Korea as well as Vietnam.

“We are soliciting children and adults to write thank-you letters or cards to hand out to veterans who are going on the plane. We Americans have a responsibility to the brave soldiers and women who gave their lives to serve their country. Make sure you show your appreciation and smile at a veteran by sending a thanks card or a letter,” an announcement said.

The letters and cards should be sent before April 21st, at the latest to Covington Region Honor Flight “Thank to a Veteran” in P.O. Box 188 Andalusia, AL 36420.

The Covington Region Honor Flight is an 501(c)(3) organisation. Business and individuals can contribute by sponsoring a vet or making a general donation.
