Davis is the recipient of a Mediacom scholarship

Mediacom Communications announced the choice of Katie Davis, a senior at Straughn High School, as one of the recipients of the company’s World Class Scholarship program.

The scholarship of $1,000 recognizes the Andalusia resident for their excellence in academics and leadership.

“As a tech firm, Mediacom understands how important it is to invest in the future leaders such as Katie Davis,” said Mediacom Area Operations Director Mitch Arnevik. “I’m pleased that our company helps talented local students by providing the opportunity to receive scholarships. We wish all the graduates well in the Class of 23 and in particular, we congratulate Katie for her extraordinary accomplishments.”

This year is the 22nd consecutive year Mediacom has provided World Class Scholarships to students from areas where Mediacom provides high-speed broadband and digital video services.

Mediacom each year selects 60 seniors graduating from high school who each receive a scholarship for their post-secondary studies.
