Special Tribute to her granddaughter, Laken Lambert: It’s with great sorrow and a sad heart that we announce the death from our Memaw, Elsie Gay Lambert. Aged 93, Memaw was a force in nature and an example of strength for her family and everyone people she came into contact with. From the time she was six days old until her death she was a complete independent and as happy like she was supposed to be. she cooked like no one’s business, washed, sewed and crocheted, mended people’s clothes, designed clothing for herself, washed her home, cleared her yard, cut grass and tended to her lovely flowers and plants, but most importantly, she was devoted to her loved ones and Jesus! She was a gold-colored needle certainly and one of the strongest and most skilled yet gentle hands I’ve ever known. What do you think of an individual whose heart was filled with all the love of the universe and the power of the race horse! Every person would be blessed to have a role model such as my grandmother. I am in awe of her unwavering faith in the Lord She was an outstanding example of loyalty, love and honesty for our family and all who came in contact with her. Her selfless actions and big heart will be missed for all time. To have her in your life was to be loved by her. Please keep all my loved ones, including my dad and brother. It’s hard to lose a parent/grandparent however it is more difficult in the holiday season. There’s nothing quite is more comforting than Memaws popcorn, dressing, and sweet tea.
