He was Mr. Gene Jacobs, 88 from the Carolina community, died on the 5th of August 2023, at his residence.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday on August 9, at 11 a.m. The service will take place at Carolina Cemetery with Brother Jack Armstrong officiating and Foreman Funeral Home in charge of the service. A formal visitation has not been scheduled. The family will be able to visit with relatives immediately following the service.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dean Jacobs; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cathy Jacobs; two daughters and son-in-law, Gloria Adams and Vickie and Larry Stallings; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Esther Barrow and Ruth and Charles Lawson; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kimberly Jacobs Sasser; son-in-law, Larry Adams; four brothers, Mandrak (Sibyl) Jacobs, Don (Carrie) Jacobs, Walker (Helen) Jacobs as well as Garland (Ethel) Jacobs; three sisters, Lucille (T. C.) Bozeman, Hazel (Billy) Wood, and Mary (Don) Hutto; and brother-in-law Benny Barrow.
Pallbearers include Brian Jacobs, Chris Adams, Steve Lawson, John Colvin, John Luke Colvin along with Ried Adams.
