The temperature is rising which means that The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its annual summer event, which will be held in July. Jamz on Thursdays in July.
The concert is every Thursday during each month at the grass of Andalusia’s Springdale Estate. It also has kids’ activities and food vendors.
“The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce is ecstatic to to host bands with local connections for the beginning of the series. We will also conclude the July Jamz with a stunning Jimmy Buffett tribute group, Bluffett. June Jamz set a high standard with Lee Greenwood that we wanted to invite performers this year with incredible energy and great music to enjoy the summer. There will be plenty of activities for children as well as an evening of Foam Frenzy every night sponsored by All in Credit Union, the interactive hula hoops and limbo competition and more. As always, we invite everyone to join us and have fun at this family-friendly event. We are so grateful to to offer this event to our community. are looking forward to some great Thursday evenings,” AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes said.
July Jamz 2023 will begin on July 6, and features the Preston Hoffman Band as the opening act, and Majestic An Tribute to Journey performing as the headliner. Arclin will serve as the headline sponsor for the very first performance.
Scott Rodgers and Phillip McClung will open the show on the 13th of July, followed by the headliner band Today’s Yesterday. Guardian Credit Union will be the main sponsor for the second performance.
Troubled Waters will be the opening act on the 20th of July and will be followed by SevenPly as the headliner. LBW Community College will be the third act’s title sponsor.
The celebrations will end in Covington as the opening act on July 27th and Bluffett A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett as the headliner. Step One Automotive will be the final title sponsor.
Admission is free to every performance. Gates will open around 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays. The music begins around 6 p.m. then an euphoria-filled foam frenzy starting around 7. p.m. as well as fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Participants are asked to bring an extra chair.
