The Rev. Grady E. Owens 85, from the Carolina community, died on the 17th of November. 17th, 2023 at Pensacola, Florida.
Funeral services were held on Monday on Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. in the Carolina Baptist Church with Brother Jack Armstrong and Brother Garrett Davis officiating, and Foreman Funeral Home conducting. The burial took place by burial in Carolina Cemetery. The funeral service began at 12:30 on the next day on the first Monday of each month at Carolina Baptist Church.
The couple is survived by their wife, Jo Ann Rogers Owens One son and a daughter-in-law, Grady J. “Jerry” as well as Tammy Owens of Dillon, South Carolina; his daughter and son-in-law Donna as well as Ron Yates of the Carolina community; four grandchildren: Hillary K. Owens, Evan (Hope) Yates, Abi Yates (Ethan Gobea) as well as Sarah Owens; three great-grandchildren, Mattie Anne Yates, Lennon Kate Yates, and Adam Gobea. Also, the extended members of his family, Larry Hobbs and family.
Pallbearers included Hal McGee, Anthony Hill, Brian Cox, James Griggs, Luke Martin, and Mike Carter.
