The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Dog Pound on Tuesday, November. 28.
The guests included their owners Jason Stanley and Courtney Lassiter cutting the ribbon the children of Jason Stanley and Courtney Lassiter, Jase, Avery, Kage, Kayelee, and Logan Stanley; AACC Executive Director Mellisa Kings, right from ribbon AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes, left of ribbon Grit + Grind Coffee proprietors Eric as well as Destiny Rowell; Chamber President Jennifer McClung; Chamber Past President William Alverson; Chamber board member Ginny Grimes the city councilman Presley Boswell.
The Dog Pound is located at 104 River Falls Street across from The B in Andalusia and serves hot dogs, French fries, cole slaw, chips as well as drinks. Lassiter has said that there will be more menu items in the near future. These includes sausage dog as well as special dogs. An opening party for guests and family members was held on Friday November. 17 before the store was open to the general public on Tuesday, November. 21.
“We are thrilled to introduce our Dog Pound to Andalusia and we are grateful to be a part of with the Andalusia Chamber. We are looking forward to helping the local community, and inviting all to come and taste Our hot dogs.” Stanley said.
The hours of operation are all weekdays from 10 a.m. until two p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.
