The Rev. Morris Jeffery “Jeff” Holland, 62 years old, of Pace, Florida, formerly of Andalusia passed away from this world and into the Heavenly home on December. 25 2023.
Jeff was born on September. 13th, 1961 in the home of Morris Holland and Sara Norris Nadeau. Through his 62 years in this world, Jeff held many titles. They included the title of Lieutenant at the Andalusia Fire Department as well as the Chief of River Falls and Libertyville Volunteer Fire Departments as well as Chief of the River Falls and McKenzie Police Departments, the owner of Fireman’s BBQ (alongside cofounders Willie Tarey and Russell McGlamory), and the most important title to him, father, husband, and the most coveted title, PawPaw. Jeff has always had the spirit of an exemplary person who is a servant. His passion for helping others went unnoticed or not noticed. He was part of an outstanding team of individuals (who were considered as family) in a variety in Police, Fire, EMS and Safety organizations.
As as Jeff loved helping and assist others, he enjoyed the pleasure being able to share his experiences with loved ones and friends. To cherish the memories of the wife Jennifer Holland of Pace, Florida and his son Brandon (Alana) Holland of Opp, Alabama; his daughters, Ashley Holland (Heath) Hendrix of Andalusia, Wendy Hardage (Cody) Dixon of Milton, Florida as well as Savannah Hardage (Zack Douglas) of Pace, Florida; and the most prized possessions of his the four precious grandchildren Ansley Holland, Maggie Holland, Greyson Weber, and Walker Dixon. He also leaves his sister Reba Gant and a nephew, Kevin Hall; brother in love, Paul Stacks; Paul’s children, Marcus (Jessica) and Lorrie Stacks; as well as grandchildren Hunter Stacks, Turner Stacks and Kaylee Armstrong. He also leaves behind an in-love sister, Donna Stacks Bass. Jeff leaves behind a number of beloved family members and friends whom loved deeply as well as his dear LEO and his fire siblings and brothers. He was passed away by his parents Sara Norris Nadeau, Morris Holland, and Eva Rathel and a brother, Kenny Holland; his grandparents, Daniel Destin and Clara Mitchell Norris and John Ausban and Inez (Holloway) Holland.
Jeff was a major influence on more lives than anyone can ever imagine. As a result the legacy of Jeff is that it cannot be erased. The loss we suffer is heaven’s gain.
Funeral arrangements have been given by Foreman Funeral Home in Andalusia, Alabama. Visitation was held on Thursday, December. 28 between 5:30 and 7 p.m. at the Chapel of Foreman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Andalusia with burial following in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The Reverend Derwood Cleland will officiate.
