She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a gardener. She also enjoyed watching westerns, and listening country and gospel music (and everything that was by Elvis). She was adored by a lot of people and will be sad to lose her as well as her stories and laughter.

Her death was preceeded by her beloved family members, her husband; father Joseph Clark Harrelson; husband, Doc Ballard; daughter, Sandy Norris; sisters, Dorothy Bradley, Marie Fuqua as well as Betty Wambles; brothers, Jimmy C. Taylor and Billy Taylor.

Joan leaves her family a vast one who will forever cherish their fond memories of her. The survivors include her daughter Carol Kerrigan; sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Denise Harrelson and David and Mary Nell Harrelson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, numerous cousins.
