Opp victim killed during a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 331

A Opp Man was killed after a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened on early on Wednesday.

In the words of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Douglas Wayne Hurst, 57 was killed after the 2006 GMC Sierra he was driving hit the 2015. Ford F450 driven by Mason Noah Brockman 26, from Odenville, Alabama.

Hurst was declared dead on the spot. Brockman was taken to a local hospital for medical care.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on the 1st of March along U.S. Hwy. 331 close to the 17-mile marker, which is approximately two miles to the south of Opp.

The information we have is not yet available, as State Troopers continue to investigate.
