Pilot Club prepares for the annual Tour of Homes, pancake breakfast: The Pilot Club of Andalusia has completed preparations for two of their annual holiday events, the Pancakes and Sausage Breakfast Day and Tour of Homes next weekend.

The Pilot Club of Andalusia will host its Pancakes and Sausage Day and Tour of Homes events on the first weekend of December.

Pancakes and sausage breakfast day will take place Saturday, December 3, at the Kiwanis Community Center from 5:30 a.m. to noon. Tickets for the all you can eat breakfast start at $8 per person. They are available at the door, SanBuck Insurance and Outlaw Realty or through any Pilot Club member.

The pancakes and sausage tradition was started by the Pilot Club many years ago at the Sherf Memorial Building. Because this event is so large, it requires a lot planning and preparation. Andalusians look forward each year to this annual tradition. Mellisa King, Chair of Pilot Club Fundraising, said that it is a wonderful morning filled with good food and great fellowship.

The Tour of Homes will be held Sunday

The Tour of Homes will be held Sunday, December 4, at 1 – 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at SanBuck Insurance or Outlaw Realty or any Pilot Club member.

“The Tour of Homes allows people to tour homes and businesses decorated for Christmas. It’s a great way for people to have a good time. This event is a popular one. It is always fascinating to see all the different styles and homes that people have. This event was started by a local group many years ago, but it was discontinued. Because so many people enjoy attending, the Pilot Club revived it. Every ticket holder can choose where they want to go first, second and so forth.

These are the five locations that will be featured in this year’s lineup:

  • The Bowers Residence – 905 Sanford Rd.
  • The Jordan Residence – 609 Fourth Ave.
  • The O’Ferrell Residence – 519 Church St.
  • Harper Residence – 16644 US Hwy. 29 S.
