Pleasant Home’s Ward, Wilson named to All-State Volleyball team

Two Covington County players were named as part of AL.com’s All-State High School Volleyball Teams which were announced on Friday, January. 12.

The all-state team is comprised of the top 14 players as well as Players of Year as well as Coaches of Year for each class as well as honorable mention.

Pleasant Home had two of its seniors in the class 1A. Middle batter Hailey Ward and outside hitter Meredith Wilson and were named to the list.

The Lady Eagles finished the 2023 season as the 1A Area 2 champions with 19-8 under the head trainer Tony Wilson.

Pleasant Home reached the quarterfinal round of the South Super Regional in Montgomery.
