Ruby was born on April 18 1947 at Rainbow City, Alabama, as a beloved single child of Charles as well as Geddie Henderson. She grew up in Alabama and as she grew older she met her future partner, Bill. They were among the few couples to have an unbreakable bond until the time the time of his death in May 2023.

Anyone who has ever known Ruby was people who would say how she did, assist them in every possible way, laugh out with them and even hold them when you needed someone cry on. Her sons were taught to live exactly the same way she did in her own life: strong, honest and hard-working, devoted, and, above all, with a faith that was unshakeable in God. She is content in her relationship with Him along with her entire family members gone before her.

In her memory is her son, Lester (Kimberly) Ingram of Andalusia and daughter-in-law Jennifer (Phillips) Ingram of Andalusia and stepdaughters Patsy (Norman) King of Ludowichi, Georgia, and Nora Rebecca Bass of Monroe, North Carolina; grandchildren: Samantha (Jeremy) Sanders of Andalusia, Leslie A.
