Each life has value, born and unborn. Individuals, families or church groups are encouraged to come by on their way to or from church to a candle-lighting/prayer vigil on Sunday, Jan. 21, between 2 and 3:30 p.m. in Andalusia at the Courthouse in recognition of the Sanctity of Human Life.

Take a moment to pray a your own prayer to the unborn, those who are suffering the effects of an abortion in the past, and for the country to someday value each human life.

Sav-A-Life of Covington County is organizing the candle-lighting/prayer vigil in memory of over 64 million unborn babies lost since the U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 22, 1973 (Roe vs. Wade). Although the decision was rescinded in 2020, a number of states have passed laws that allow abortions – some up to the time of birth. Thus, unborn lives continue to be lost.

Speakers are available to speak at Sanctity of Human Life services in Sunday Church services, school classes or civic groups.

Sav-A-Life’s Family Hope Center is located in Andalusia at 116 Crescent Street, around the corner from the Covington County Courthouse.
