Mrs. Sarah Nell Pierce Clark from Andalusia died on Saturday November. 18 at Andalusia Manor.

Mrs. Clark was endeared to her children as “Mammy.” Also, Mammy was absolutely obsessed with sewing many lovely heirloom dresses through time for her sole daughter, Elizabeth, who is about to have her third child. Now, Mammy’s great-granddaughters can wear all Elizabeth’s treasured dresses. Mrs. Clark’s grandsons, Mitchell and Ben, were awed by her food, no matter what she served Their favorite dish was her fried cubed steak served with home-cooked biscuits, gravy and gravy as well as Granddad’s homemade butterbeans. And they would always look over her cookie jar and she always stocked it with egg-free biscuits.

Mrs. Clark learned to cook huge meals and live thriftily, after growing in a family with nine children. She was the fourth member of a family that included five sisters and three brothers and sewed a lot of her own gorgeous clothing, and was an expert at the art of making clothing as well as socks, quilts toys, etc. She was a devoted wife mother, daughter sister, and friend. She was very fond of her family she enjoyed her Sunday School classes, church, her teacher friends administrators, teachers, and students from her time in Andalusia Middle School and numerous other friends she made throughout the many years. She was adored and cherished by everyone who knew her. Her family will mourn her deeply They are however thankful God chose her to be their matriarch.
