Straughn High School hosted its 11th annual volleyball tournament on Saturday on Sept. 9.
Coach Deidra Burleson Coach Deidra Burleson, the Lady Tigers won five matches and didn’t drop one set during the day. Straughn increased its mark to 8-4 over the season.
“What was a wonderful day for all my Straughn volleyball family! I am very satisfied with our parents and teams for their dedication to make the tournament one of the biggest successes. It was a blast to watch my girls from varsity beat us at our tournament and have a blast doing it. I am an Straughn Tiger. I am fortunate to coach my girls,” Burleson said.
Pleasant Home won four matches and was crowned finalist in the tournament.
Other teams participating in the tournament included Andalusia, Brantley, Geneva, Kinston, Red Level and Samson.
