I cannot imagine having no knowledge of David as well as Goliath, Samson, or Moses as well as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Proverbs and parables have given me many lessons on the way I live my day.

One of my friends once stated, “If you can find the way to get around within your Bible Thank your Teacher at Sunday school!” I would include ministers as well. Sunday school lessons and sermons that I’ve heard over the years have shaped me in my knowledge about the Bible as well as the Christian way of life.

Each October, a specific occasion is set aside to express appreciation to ministers. Clergy Appreciation Month recognizes clergy and families of ministers for their dedication to the church and sacrifice to their congregations. Some churches also opt to express their gratitude for Sunday School instructors in the month of October.

The ministers as well as their family members are under a lot of pressure. They are in a fishbowl with their congregation and the community following each and every step. In many cases, they are required to be perfect who are always accessible and never letting down or out of touch, and have everything they need. Nobody can live up to those unreasonable expectations.

Sunday School teachers teach weekly lessons with a high level of consistency in order to teach us how to apply the scriptures to our life. No matter if you are a teenager, child adults, singles, seniors, or couples the majority of churches provide classes for people of all ages.

Teachers can make a difference to the lives of children, as God’s Word says that if we instruct our children the way the way he ought to go, when he reaches the age of old “he will not be a part of the path” (Proverbs 22:6). The Apostle Paul states about spiritual leaders that carry out their duties with excellence are deserving of two honors and especially those who are to the fullest in preaching and teaching (1 Paul 5:17).

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 reads, “And now, friends we would like you to give thanks to those people who do so much to serve you, and are given the task of encouraging and guiding you in your obedience. Give them a huge amount of appreciation and affection” (MSG).

What can we do as individuals in order to show gratitude to our pastor and the Sunday school teacher? The first thing to do is pray for them.

“A group of American pastors questioned Charles Spurgeon the secret for his success. As a the response, Spurgeon led them to the lower levels of his house of worship and then quietly opened the door. The attendees saw more than 400 praying to the blessing of God and strength to be awed by their pastor, who would sit at the pulpit and preach on the Word of God that night. “There, Gentlemen,” Spurgeon said, Spurgeon”is the secret to my success. .”’

Participate in Sunday School and attend church. A chair or pew empty could send a negative message. Invite a friend as well. Keep in mind your pastor and your Sunday school teacher for special occasions like birthdays, Christmas and other holidays. Go out for lunch with them at least once a week.

A simple word of encouragement could bring joy to your day. It is easy to send an email to say, “Thank you for everything you provide for our church. The Lord has been a blessing in my life by your .”
