Four teams of county volleyball will continue their season when they compete in the South Super Regional at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery.
Opp as well as Straughn will be playing on Wednesday and Straughn will play on Thursday. Andalusia as well as Pleasant Home are scheduled to be playing on Thursday and Friday.
In every class, the winner and runners-up from each region tournament will be competing in two tournaments that are super regional. Every super regional tournament will comprise six courts and will be able to keep the allotted time of 15 minutes between matches. This will allow for an equal amount of time for play on the courts for each of teams participating in tournaments.
The game is single elimination with a best-three-out-of-5 format. Every area winner will be paired with a runner-up from another region in the initial stage of bracket. The top four finishers from each super-regional event will go to the state tournament in the coming week. A consolation match will decide the thirdand fourth teams.
Tickets can be purchased on the internet through the AHSAA’s ticketing partner GoFan with admission rates set at $10 for each day and an additional convenience cost.
All regional, super regional and state tournaments are the sole property that belong to the AHSAA. Any live stream of AHSAA event that is not part that of regular-season play is forbidden and can be subject to a fine of $500 for any school with an event streamed.
