The Covington County Sheriff’s Office has detained a total of eight suspects suspected of being involved in a home invasion shooting and robbery in the Gantt region that caused one victim to be injured on Thursday.

As per The Sheriff Blake Turman, the victim of the shooting was identified as being in critical condition in a regional trauma hospital.

After a long period of forensic investigations and interrogations after hours of forensic investigation and interviews, the CCSO has been able to obtain first-degree warrants to robbery on the suspects below: Quabias Nyjuan Jackson, 22 of Troy; Lydorian Tiquan Hodges 19 from Troy; Ramone Tyvon Smith Jr. 20 years old of Andalusia; Lorenzo Armon Whatley 24 from Troy And Le’vonte Jacquez Webb, 23 from Troy.

The sheriff’s department also arrested three suspects charged with first grade robbery. The suspects are Hailey Anne Sutton, 19; Gabrielle Cherie Grady, 18, as well as Elizabeth Rose Mitchell, 22 All of Andalusia.

Sheriff Turman added that more charges could be brought during the course of the investigation and the condition of the victim is evaluated. The condition of the victim’s health could not be confirmed until Tuesday afternoon.

Law enforcement officers responded at the scene on Thursday October. 12 at around 11:50 p.m.

Eight suspects have been detained in the county jail, with each bond set at $150,000.
