Tim King, aged 73, from Andalusia, died in hospice care on January 21, 2023.

Tim was raised in Red Level, and his family roots are deep in Covington County. In 1967, he graduated from Red Level High School. He completed an apprenticeship and was a certified nuclear welder. While working at the Farley Nuclear Plant, he also completed his apprenticeship. He was a Christian, a dedicated husband and father, and was an active member of Adellum Baptist Church. He also taught the Men’s Sunday school Class for more than 40 years. He loved Alabama football, hunting deer and spending time with his families.

Tim is survived his high school sweetheart, Shirley Partridge King, his loving wife of 54 year; Steven King, his devoted son from Andalusia; Betty Lou Smith Cockcroft, his aunt; and many cousins.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, W.C. “Dub” and Sibyl Smith Kings.

Funeral services will take place at Keahey Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26, at 2 p.m. From 1 p.m. to the time of the service, family and friends are invited. Bro. Billy Boles will officiate. Ron Taylor will provide special music. In the Andalusia Memory Cemetery, interment will be followed.

Earl Steel, Jerry Parker and Buck Lee will serve as pallbearers. Larry Turman, Larry Gunter, Tommy Welch, Larry Gunter, Larry Gunter, Larry Turman and Larry Turman will also be present. The Adellum Baptist Church Men’s Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

We will appreciate flowers or memorial donations to Comfort Care Hospice Of Andalusia in Tim’s memory.
