The Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers released the following statement, in which he expressed his full support for the citizens of Israel. Rogers condemned the attack as an “cold-blooded attack” and stressed that Israel has the legal right to stand up from the violent acts. Rogers said he would continue to pledge U.S. support for Israel by providing a robust security aid and emphasized the long-standing relationship between the two countries.

U.S. Senator Katie Britt also joined in condemning the Hamas attacks, and expressing her support for the citizens of Israel. The ongoing terror attacks were described by her in the Gaza Strip as “barbaric” as well as “unprecedented.” Senator Britt along with many Alabamans and Americans strongly supports Israel calling it one of the United States’ “greatest ally as well as a friend and partner.”
