Washington D.C. –U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03) today announced that his office is now accepting submissions by high-school students within the state of Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District for the annual Congressional Art Competition. The winning artworks of each Congressional District will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year. This competition that spans the nation offers a unique opportunity for budding artists to showcase their talents. The theme this year for piece will be “Land of the free, Because of the Brave.” The artwork must be completed by April 14 and further guidelines for the contest are available here.

Rogers. “This is an excellent chance for our local teens in high schools to see their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol, and for people from all over the world to experience the talent that’s residing right within Central Alabama.
