Anniston, AL –In an empathetic celebration of the human spirit in the midst of the abyss of war. Anniston will stage the acclaimed stage production “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914,” at JSU McClellan Theatre. It is produced through CAST Theatre, this moving production will run from December 8th until December 10th offering a variety of showtimes to audiences to enjoy the captivating tale of peace and camaraderie in the darkest hours during World War I.

Rewind time into the Western Front in 1914, when the ferocity in World War I gave way to an unanticipated moment of humankind. In the midst of the violence, there was an extraordinary silence, which was then the sounds of a tune. The story unfolds when the story unfolds as a German soldier bravely ventures into No Man’s Land, singing the haunting tune of “Stille Night” (Silent night). This moving moment will set the stage for a night that is brimming with music, camaraderie and a peace that transcends boundaries.

“All is Calm” is an a cappella choralle that expertly weaves the real stories, the songs, and words of the men who were present on this remarkable night. The performance, with an all-male group is a perfect representation of the 1914 Christmas Truce and showcases the strength of humanity even in the face of hardship.
