Tuscaloosa, AL –Alabama is scheduled to host its first Presidential Debate on Wednesday, the 6th of December in Tuscaloosa. The announcement has sparked excitement across the state including Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl declaring his excitement for the chance.

“I am thrilled that the 4th Republican presidential debate is concluded, and that it will take place in The Yellowhammer State. This is a fantastic chance for the state of Alabama and people who are voting in primary elections across the United States. Alabama is among the most powerful Republican state in the country and I believe it’s appropriate that we hold the first debate of the primary as candidates vie for the support of conservative voters.” declared the chairman of the committee Wahl.

In acknowledging the importance of engaging young electorate, Wahl highlighted his commitment towards reaching out to students groups and young conservatives in the debate. Being his age, he is the youngest Republican State Party Chairman in the nation, he views this debate as an unique opportunity to engage with college students.

The debate, which is moderated by a panel of SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly as well as the NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas, and the Washington Free Beacon’s Eliana Johnson, is slated to be a significant moment in Alabama’s political past.
