Anniston (AL) – Anniston Police Department officers were dispatched to the 4500 block Sprague Avenue in an attempt to find a gunshot victim. Officers arrived on the scene to find Jacoby D. White (24 years old), suffering from a gunshot wound. Anniston fire crew medics tried to provide lifesaving techniques but Mr. White died on the way to the hospital.
Anniston Police Department investigators arrived and began their investigation. They were able to identify Jada Nicole Cook (19) of Anniston as the suspect. They also learned that Cook and the victim had been together before the incident. Investigators discovered that Cook and the victim had been in an argument before Cook pulled out a gun.
Cook was on the scene throughout the investigation, and investigators took her into custody. Cook was taken to Calhoun County Jail where she was charged with Murder. Investigators are still looking for information and ask that anyone with any leads contact them.
