Anniston, AL –The Anniston Police department released an official statement that, on the 15th of April 2023, about 11:30 pm, police officers arrived at the area of 4500 blocks McClellan Boulevard. as a result of an incident of shooting. On arrival, the officers were able to contact the driver who was a black male aged 21 who claimed the two of them were shot while driving north on McClellan Boulevard. The passenger, a the 19 year old Troy Hall of Anniston, died on the scene. The driver was injured but not life-threatening. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Anniston Police Department’s Investigative Division the number 256-240-4000. Coach Brown of Anniston High School issued the following statement.
“We would like to to offer our sincere condolences on the families from Troy Hall. Troy was a part of our basketball team for the entire four years in high school. He was also an athlete on the State of 2021 Championship Team. Our hearts are broken by his passing, however we will always remember him for his smile and awe-inspiring personality. Troy was an uncle, brother and friend as well as a teammate to many. He will always remain a integral part of our Anniston High School Basketball Family. We will miss you forever and our times shared will be treasured for the rest of time. Be at peace Troy and we will miss you! ”
