Anniston, AL – The stage is set for the conclusion of the Olympic Selection series as some of the country’s top shooters prepare to take on the final stage of their journey. USA Shooting, the authoritative organization that oversees Olympic Shooting Sports in the United States, has designated Anniston’s the Judith Legerski CMP competition center as its highly regarded host for the third part of 2024’s Air Gun Olympic Trials.

The participants, who have been tested throughout the earlier stages during the screening process will compete in a spirited contest that will last for 2 days worth of International Shooting Sport Federation 60-shot events. The significance of the event goes beyond the boundaries of Anniston because the results will be crucial in determining who is to represent this country in United States in the 2024 Olympic Games, scheduled to begin in July.

Christie Sewell, CMP Chief Programs Officer, emphasized CMP’s pride and joy in working in conjunction with USA Shooting to orchestrate the Olympic Trials. “We look to working with USA Shooting to provide a memorable, high-quality experience for all of the athletes.”

Set to run from January 5 through 7 January, The Olympic Trials at the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center promise an intense display of skills and determination. The athletes will not leave a stone unturned in their pursuit of excellence, fully aware that their efforts will echo on the arena of 2024’s Olympic Games.

As Anniston is welcoming these highly skilled marksmen, the city is anticipating an event that will not only display the athletic talent of these athletes, but increases the city’s ties to the larger world that is Olympic competition. In 2024, the Air Gun Olympic Trials are expected to be an ode to determination, precision, and a quest for Olympic glory.
